In order to strengthen the radio management of civil UAVs, and effectively maintain the order of air waves, the Radio Administration Bureau of the MIIT has drafted the “Interim Measures of the Radio Management of Civil UAVs (Draft for Comments)” to solicit public opinions. The deadline for feedback is October 29, 2020.
According to the MIIT draft, the Civil UAVs can apply for the 840.5-845MHz, 1430-1444MHz, 2400-2476MHz and 5725-5829MHz frequency bands for remote control, telemetry and information transmission link.
The 840.5-845MHz frequency band is used for the civil UAV uplink remote control link, and the 841-845MHz frequency band can be used for civil UAV uplink remote control and downlink telemetry link in time-division mode.
The 1430-1444MHz frequency band is used for downlink telemetry and information transmission link of civil UAVs, of which the 1430-1438MHz frequency band is used for police UAV and helicopter video transmission, and the other civil UAVs use the 1438-1444MHz frequency band.
Civil UAVs using 2.4GHz and 5.8GHz frequency bands shall not require radio interference protection.
